The Magnifying Ring was a competition entry for the 18. German Young Talent’s Contest for Precious Stones and Jewellery Design Idar-Oberstein.
The theme of the competition was “Mehr Schein als Sein – Das Täuschende”. (More Hype Than Substance – The Deceptiveness).

A small diamond is mounted under a magnifying lens. The tiny gem seems gigantic when looking at the ring from the right angle.
