In this project the Javascript framework ‘Perlenspiel’ was used to develop four games. Every game had to be finished after one week, so very goal-directed working was crucial.
Kruziklix
Kruziklix is a Puzzle Game. The player triggers a cross like shot by clicking an empty field between the red obstacle blocks. Four ‘bullets’ fly upwards, downwards, to the left and to the right from the point where the Player clicked. The amount of shots to clear the level is limited. If you do not choose your moves wisely you will not have enough shots to finish the level. The game gets harder during the nine containing levels. After the first stages a blue bonus block is introduced, which adds an extra shot if the player hits it with one of his bullets.
Controls: Mouse only
Hungry Bat
You are a hungry bat. To prevent starvation you need to catch flies. Since it is getting darker, you can not only rely on your eyes but have to use your ultrasonic sense to localize flies.
Hungry bat is a game concept that forces the player to listen carefully to the sounds. Visual inputs decrease to a point where the player is nearly blind. After a few minutes, it becomes easier to predict if the bat is in a good spot and how far away the flies are.
Controls: Left and Right Key for steering, Up Key for ultrasonic wave.
Laser Marriage vs. The Blob
This two player game is about fighting a giant growing blob. The players must not touch the blob. After a short ‘growing phase’ of the alien slime ball, a laser beam starts bouncing between the players. The beam destroys blob matter. So in order to defeat the slime, the players have to position themselves in a coordinated way.

Hot Neighbors
This game is about manipulating a wildfire. The final game was presented as an installation: Four fans were placed around a lying display. Up to four people could blow in the fans and make the fire go in the facing direction. Two houses that represented the teams had to be protected.
The playable application here is an earlier development stage of the game: The player starts a fire by clicking. After that the fire follows the mouse cursor or dies out if you position the mouse in the middle of it.
